E-Sponsibility Overview

Through this blog, I will explore the topic of E-Sponsibility. I will narrow in on student netiquette and cyber-bullying and their effects on students as well as teachers. Now that technology is becoming so largely integrated into the school system, we are seeing more negative effects of it. Technology can be a great tool that has the potential to be very beneficial to education, but it must be monitored and it is teachers' responsibility to teach netiquette and the harmful effects of cyber-bullying to their students. One beneficial thing about technology and the Internet is that students are able to connect with each other very easily, yet this easy access to one another leads to a greater chance of cyber-bullying. As long as proper netiquette is taught in schools along with the use of technology, the issue of cyber-bullying should be minimized.

This is a video that sums up cyber-bullying. These people share their experiences with it and explain how hurtful some of the bullies were to them. This video really shows the lasting effects cyber-bullying has on its victims.
